Legal Disclaimer & Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 14, 2026

Welcome to SarawakVolt! By using our website and interactive calculators, you agree to follow the simple ground rules laid out below. If you don’t agree with these terms, please feel free to browse other energy resources instead.

1. What SarawakVolt Is (Educational Purpose Only)

SarawakVolt is an independent, community-oriented educational platform. We provide free-to-use digital tools to help the public estimate the financial logistics of home solar installations in Sarawak.

  • Not a Contractor: We do not provide engineering, roofing, installation, or electrical contracting services.
  • Not an Official Body: We are completely independent of Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), SESCO, and the Sarawak State Government. While we do our absolute best to align our tools with official policies and the 2026 NEM framework guidelines, we are not a government portal.

2. The Calculator Disclaimer (Estimates vs. Reality)

Our Fast-Track Subsidy Checker and Long-Term Budget Modeler are designed to give you highly accurate blueprints based on standard domestic tariff structures. However, please understand that our calculations are estimates, not guaranteed quotes.

Your actual solar system performance, real-world utility bill credits, and final hardware costs depend heavily on physical factors we cannot see online—such as the exact condition of your roof, direct shading from trees or structures, localized grid capacity limits set by SESCO, and fluctuating market prices for hardware. SarawakVolt holds no liability for discrepancies between our calculator estimates and real-world quotes you receive from third-party professionals.

3. Third-Party Referral & Contractor Services

When you voluntarily request a free virtual roof check through our Section 6 form, we securely pass your request to verified, SESCO-registered solar electrical contractors operating locally.

  • Independent Entities: These contractors are entirely independent business entities. They are not employees, agents, or official representatives of SarawakVolt.
  • Vetting Policy: While we only associate with professionals who hold valid certifications (like EIU Solar PV Designer or Chargeman L4 licenses), any eventual agreement, financial transaction, or physical installation contract you sign is strictly a binding matter between you and that specific contractor.
  • Liability Cap: SarawakVolt is not responsible or legally liable for the workmanship, timelines, warranties, or business practices of any external contractor introduced via our referral framework.

4. Intellectual Property & Fair Use

We built these custom calculator interfaces from scratch to support Sarawakian homeowners.

  • You are highly encouraged to use these tools for your own personal, domestic, and non-commercial property planning.
  • You may not scrape our underlying calculation scripts, copy our text, mirror our website architecture, or use our digital tools for commercial reselling or automated lead-generation without our explicit written permission.

5. Website Availability

We strive to keep our platform fast, accessible, and bug-free. However, we cannot guarantee that the site will never experience technical glitches, server downtime, or sudden changes in tariff mathematics if local utility frameworks shift. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or pause our calculation features at any time without prior notice.

6. Changes to These Terms

As utility policies evolve, we may update these legal disclaimers. Whenever we make changes, we will update the date right at the top of this page. Continuing to use our site means you accept any updated rules.
